Las Vegas Scavenger Hunt Themes

A Las Vegas party doesn't usually stay in one place. Even locals know how lucky they are to have so many glamorous landmarks and A-list performers in one city, so they don't restrict their special occasions to one specific venue. That's why scavenger hunts are such a popular celebration theme, elevating everything from birthday and bachelorette parties to conference icebreakers and stimulating family vacations. Digital cameras and smartphones make it easier than ever to document each Sin City pit stop, and the following categories are fun to adapt for guests of different ages and interests.

Hollywood Memories

Movie scene reenactments are easy to stage on the Strip. At Caesar's Palace, Hangover fans can channel Zach Galifianakis while descending the escalators or Bradley Cooper while pretending to check in at the front desk. At the Bellagio, anyone can imitate George Clooney, Brad Pitt, Matt Damon, and the rest of the Ocean's Eleven gang by taking turns departing while the fountains dance. For more literary party guests, Hunter S. Thompson and Johnny Depp are still tangible at the Riviera Hotel. The classic resort's Le Bistro Lounge actually stood in for Circus Circus in the movie adaptation of Fear & Loathing in Las Vegas.

Wonders of the World

Las Vegas has plenty of landmarks of its own, but besides the iconic casinos and hotels that line the Strip, it's also home to miniaturized versions of some of the world's architectural Wonders. A sightseeing scavenger hunt will look more like a globe-trotting vacation when guests take snapshots in front of the Eiffel Tower at Paris Las Vegas, below the Statue of Liberty at New York New York, and aboard an Italian gondola at the Venetian. Kids can come to Vegas to learn about international treasures, and their parents can rack up treasures of their own at night.

Clichés & Oddities
Some Las Vegas stereotypes are impossible to resist. There are celebrity impersonators in Los Angeles too, and Reno has its fair share of casinos, but no other city has so many wedding chapels, acrobatic shows, pop divas, or drunk, carefree strangers all in one place. The purpose of a scavenger hunt is to collect unique memories along with snapshots and mementos, so party planners may use their discretion to compile a list of local oddities.

From one-of-a-kind magic and prank shops to giant billboards and wax sculptures, a Las Vegas party isn't complete without some run-ins with people and places that exist nowhere else.
